Dmitry Gomberg born 1980 is a photographer and visual artist based between Paris, New York, and Tbilisi. He studied geology at Moscow State University before moving to the United States in 2000. In 2004 he received his first camera and began working in a wedding photography studio, later enrolling in the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York in 2005. Since then, Gomberg has focused on documentary and conceptual photography, exploring themes of intimacy, observation, and the absurdity of everyday life. His work has been published in National Geographic, GEO, and The New Yorker, and exhibited internationally. He also produces independent zines and photo books.
